Dr. Averbeck is President and owner of Applied Assessments, Inc. Dan has over twenty years of experience as a licensed psychologist specializing in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. He brings expertise in implementing principles of applied psychology and organizational behavior to advance corporate change and individual development. Through his experience in conducting thousands of leadership assessments and individual feedback sessions, Dan is considered a valued confidant to senior executives and Boards of Directors. He is frequently called upon to conduct senior leadership coaching engagements and to provide human capital data to guide organizational strategic planning and succession management. |

Additional specialties include leading the development and validation of selection methods that dramatically reduce the incidence and severity of workers' compensation injuries. These programs have been implemented worldwide in both large and small organizations. Dan has also been instrumental in applying assessment feedback to guide the creation of individual development plans of experienced leaders and high potential associates. He has a passion for demonstrating the impact of spatial skills on individual learning approaches and leadership strategies.

May G. Doyle, M.A.
HR Assessment Specialist |
May Doyle is the HR Assessment Specialist at Applied Assessments. She has 16 years of experience in HR consulting with her main area of focus being test validation, administration and training as well as statistical data analysis and interpretation. In her time with Applied Assessments, May has conducted over 1000 assessment sessions for the selection and development of production, technical, administrative support, supervisory, professional staff and managerial candidates. She has managed the design, validation and implementation of selection and assessment systems for manufacturing clients. Utilizing her psychometrics background, May has applied complex statistical techniques in the analysis of project data and has interpreted data results for practical application to address client issues. She has also developed, designed and currently maintains the Applied Assessments' website. |
Prior to her position as an HR Assessment Specialist, May was employed by Applied Assessments as a graduate intern compiling data for test administration and performing statistical analysis to generate normative data. She also served as a psychology assistant at Xavier University, administering assessments to college students and clients of staff psychologists.
May earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and a Masters of Arts degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Xavier University. She is actively involved in the Greater Cincinnati Human Resources Association and serves as a College Relations Committee member. May is also a Parent Teacher Association Board member. |
